Small town girl workin it in the big city!

Chelsea is a theater artist and teacher in Brooklyn NY. She is a lead teacher at a progressive arts preschool in Brooklyn called Bija kids where she teaches theatre and yoga. Chelsea is a member of boom! productions, a company she helped start originally in Seattle, WA and now currently in Brooklyn, NY. Chelsea is in her second year of graduate school working towards a Masters in Applied Theatre at CUNY’s Professional Development Center in Manhattan.

Chelsea’s play, Roar, has been in three different theater festivals in Seattle, WA,  Santa Cruz, CA, and NYC.

Chelsea has been working on a new play, Hot Air Balloon Girl, and has workshopped and previewed with different companies in New York City.  

Chelsea was a 2015 resident with Fresh Ground Pepper’s BRB summer retreat where she workshopped scenes of Hot Air Balloon Girl. 


Scenes from Hot Air Balloon Girl  were previewed  with New Light Theater Projects, Dark Room Series 6, in NYC.
